Installation and configuration of satellite and terrestrial television antennas is a complex process that requires precision and technological knowledge. Below is a general guide to this process:

Planning and analysis:

  • Understand the client's needs and analyze local conditions.

  • Assess whether there are any obstacles in the area where the antenna is to be installed that could interfere with signal reception

  • Check the availability of suitable television platforms (satellite or terrestrial).

Selection of the appropriate antenna:

Based on the requirements analysis, the appropriate television antenna should be selected, taking into account:

  • Type of signal (satellite or terrestrial),

  • Distance from the transmitter/satellite,

  • Local conditions (e.g., presence of trees, buildings).

Antenna installation:

Next, proceed with the installation of the antenna. For a satellite antenna, it should be placed on a specially adapted bracket, ensuring its proper alignment towards the satellite. For a terrestrial antenna, installation can be on the roof of a building or on a specialized mast.

Antenna alignment:

After mounting the antenna, precise alignment is necessary.

  • Satellite antenna, the inclination angle and pointing direction must be accurately adjusted to achieve the best signal reception.

  • Terrestrial antenna, proper orientation towards the transmitter is necessary.

Connection to the receiver:

The antenna must then be connected to the television receiver. For a satellite antenna, this requires the use of coaxial cable and F-type connectors. For a terrestrial antenna, the connection can be made using coaxial cable or other types of cables used in DVB-T/T2 systems.

Receiver configuration:

The connected receiver must be properly configured. For satellite television reception, this involves entering the appropriate parameters such as transponder frequency, symbol rate, and decoder configuration. For terrestrial television reception, it is necessary to scan available channels and possibly adjust settings related to picture and sound quality.

Testing and optimization:

After configuring the system, tests are conducted to check the quality of signal reception and receiver functionality. If problems occur, additional adjustments to the antenna or configuration parameters may be necessary.

Adhering to the above steps and carefully executing each stage ensures effective installation of satellite and terrestrial television antennas and optimal signal reception. However, in case of lack of experience or doubts about the correctness of the installation, it is recommended to use professional services.

Sample pricing for installation and configuration of satellite and terrestrial television antennas:
